Greater Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee (GARTC)

What it is: The eight-member Greater Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee. Members represent the interests of off-road bicyclists, runners and joggers, equestrians, the active elderly and general trail recreationalists.

What it does: Reviews issues related to trails in the Albuquerque area and advises the city of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County and other governmental agencies on plans, programs and standards for recreational trails.

When it meets: The third Tuesday of each month.

How to get involved: Committee meetings are open to the public.
